ARCHIVE OF GARDEN THEATRES
In my Archive of Theatre Gardens, the entries are presented in the same way that my research has been — and continues to be — gathered: as fragments or pieces of evidence which, taken together, speak of the ways in which theatre, horticulture, and garden design have been, and remain, intertwined. The aim is to document and illustrate how gardens and theatre relate to one another. As a collection of material spanning across cultures and time periods, the archive also seeks to inspire broader perspectives on the many relationships that have existed — and may yet emerge — between performance and nature at large.
